Saplings Distribution

End Poverty organised a saplings distribution function on 10/08/2016 in Tapokra village of Alwar district. So far, 94 farmers from 15 villages have been given 3650 saplings. The saplings given are 1050 guava, 1050 lemon, 550 keenu (a citrus fruit), 300 moosambi (sweet lime), 550 pomegranates and 150 papayas.  Out of these 3500 saplings have been sponsored by Open Gate, a UK charity.



Apart from the saplings, each farmer was given organic manure mixed with pest control material. This distribution program found coverage in a local daily "Dainik Bhaskar".

Hello All,
This is the first post of End Poverty. Let us start this blog with a small introduction about us.

End Poverty is a not for profit voluntary organization. It was established in 2009 with a

purpose to contribute towards poverty reduction in India. End Poverty has been working in

Alwar district since inception with focus on sustainable livelihood creation, girl’s education

and rural development. EP’s main target segment is poor households, landless agricultural

labourers, small and marginal farmers, traditional artisans, poor and needy women and

unemployed youths. The main approach of EP is to design & deliver innovative and self-

sustaining development programs & village-based initiatives as set out in its Mission and

Objectives. EP’s core value is to undertake development projects and deliver them efficiently

within the agreed timeframe and budget.
