End Poverty celebrated completion of its 10 years of services towards poverty reduction in India. End Poverty started its journey from just 200 beneficiaries from 5 villages in Tijara Block in 2009; it has now reached 23,600 beneficiaries from 4 states of India i.e. Rajasthan, Karnataka, Delhi and Haryana ason date, said Mr. Vinod Kaushik, President End Poverty. Most of its program is directed towards creation of sustainable livelihood in the area of Agriculture, Dairy, Women Empowerment and Youth Employment.
Dignitaries from London, UK The GEN Initiative, Mrs Sue Burke, Mr. Andrew Pickens, Ms. Bet Tickner, Mrs. Jan Hewlett and Mrs Janet Pickens attended the week long celebrations. Mr. Satender Arya, CEO of the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) addressed the gathering and shared new steps being taken to address the potential of youth employment through agri-based PMKVY programs. The celebratory event was attended by more than 400 guests including beneficiaries, partners, donors and well-wishers. Agriculture based partners Mahyco Seeds, and Dairy based partners like the DSS Group shared new initiatives that were very valuable to farmers. Many of End Poverty’s program participants shared their journey with EP and the audience applauded their experience and participation. Several women beneficiaries were commended on their confidence and the ease with which they shared their experiences on stage.
End Poverty’s President, Mr. Vinod Kaushik shared the journey of the organization over ten years and inaugurated the newly formed farmer producer company DinkerAgri-Producers Company’ at Tapukara along with the dignitaries from The GEN Initiatives. Executive Director, Dr. Rachna Singh expressed that Tijara the women, youth and farmers of Tijara are now willing and able to take on much bigger steps to improve their earnings and with EP.
The Partnership Address was delivered by Ms Sue Burke Chair, The GEN Initiatives UK and said EP is a doer and this is what GEN like most in EP.
