Why trees are our only ally in battle to save Mother Earth?

2020 is here are so is the climate crisis. It's not climate change anymore, it's not global warming anymore. It's the final hour before irreversible destruction. Alarm bells are ringing all over the world. Amazon fires, Australia blaze, torrential rains and floods in Madagascar, Spain are grave reminders that Mother Earth is screaming for help. In this alarming situation, trees are our only allies.
At a recently concluded World Economic Forum at Davos, world powers have announced the ambitious and much-needed 'Trillion Trees' programme. The 1t.org project aims to grow, restore and conserve 1 trillion trees around the world to sequester carbon from the air and to protect biodiversity.
Closer home, 'End Poverty' has also launched a beautiful 'plant a tree' initiative that is “Plant a Tree for Life( PTFL) in Tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan, India in 2009. END POVERTY  is promoting horticulture farming under the brand name  "Plant a Tree for Life"  to improve the income of small farmers in a sustainable manner. Horticulture farming is the best solution towards sustainable farming as it consumes less water, gives more returns, needs less labour, improve the local environment and family nutrition. To promote sustainability and reduce water consumption in farming, EP is helping farmers to diversify from field crops to horticulture crops. End Poverty has distributed 40,305 fruit saplings to over 749 farmers in 70 villages. The fruit saplings include Guava, Lemon, Sweet lime, kinoo,pomegranate, Black Berry, papaya,JackFruit, Ziziphus (Ber).

We need trees more than ever. Do you know deforestation causes almost as much greenhouse gas emissions as global road travel? We need to plant as many trees as possible. The most important aspect is to sensitise people.
The only time a common man thinks about trees is when the air quality plunges to new low. A new UN Environment Programme (UNEP) report warns that unless global greenhouse gas emissions fall by 7.6 per cent each year between 2020 and 2030, the world will miss the opportunity to get on track towards the 1.5°C temperature goal of the Paris Agreement.
2020 is a critical year for climate action, with the UN climate change conference in Glasgow aiming to determine the future course of efforts to avert crisis, and countries expected to significantly step up their climate commitments.

This is just a tip of iceberg. Every single leaf is an insurance of future of human race. It's time to ACT!

End Poverty 10 years Journey

End Poverty celebrated its 10 years Anniversary Event on 12th Oct, 2019

End Poverty celebrated completion of its 10 years of services towards poverty reduction in India. End Poverty started its journey from just 200 beneficiaries from 5 villages in Tijara Block in 2009; it has now reached 23,600 beneficiaries from 4 states of India i.e. Rajasthan, Karnataka, Delhi and Haryana ason date, said Mr. Vinod Kaushik, President End Poverty. Most of its program is directed towards creation of sustainable livelihood in the area of Agriculture, Dairy, Women Empowerment and Youth Employment.

Dignitaries from London, UK The GEN Initiative, Mrs Sue Burke, Mr. Andrew Pickens, Ms. Bet Tickner, Mrs. Jan Hewlett and Mrs Janet Pickens attended the week long celebrations. Mr. Satender Arya, CEO of the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) addressed the gathering and shared new steps being taken to address the potential of youth employment through agri-based PMKVY programs. The celebratory event was attended by more than 400 guests including beneficiaries, partners, donors and well-wishers. Agriculture based partners Mahyco Seeds, and Dairy based partners like the DSS Group shared new initiatives that were very valuable to farmers. Many of End Poverty’s program participants shared their journey with EP and the audience applauded their experience and participation. Several women beneficiaries were commended on their confidence and the ease with which they shared their experiences on stage.

End Poverty’s President, Mr. Vinod Kaushik shared the journey of the organization over ten years and inaugurated the newly formed farmer producer company DinkerAgri-Producers Company’ at Tapukara along with the dignitaries from The GEN Initiatives. Executive Director, Dr. Rachna Singh expressed that Tijara the women, youth and farmers of Tijara are now willing and able to take on much bigger steps to improve their earnings and with EP.

The Partnership Address was delivered by Ms Sue Burke Chair, The GEN Initiatives UK and said EP is a doer and this is what GEN like most in EP. 

Students of NDIM college , Delhi worked as volunteers . Students of Suraj School , Bhiwadi presented various cultural performances likes Guru Vandana ,Rajasthni dances , songs

Exposure Visit of the farmers

End Poverty organised farmer’s exposure visit to the model agriculture farm, in which 13 farmers participated from Nangal Saliya, Jodiya (Angrej ki dhani) and Bibirani villages, Kotkasim block.

• Animal Health Management
• Soil sampling, testing and soil health
• Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) structure and scope

Trees are the future: Trees for the Future farmers are ending harmful and ineffectual monocrop practices and achieving health and prosperity for themselves and their families through their Forest Gardens. Year round, farmers are able to produce more than a dozen varieties of vegetables and harvest fruit and nuts from their trees.

“PLANT A TREE FOR LIFE” project through sustainable farming with focus on small and marginal farmers.

End poverty is a civil society organization registered in 2009 with a purpose to contribute towards poverty reduction in India. Its main activities are in the area of sustainable livelihood creation.

“PLANT A TREE FOR LIFE”  project  is implemented  in  Tijara block of Alwar district of Rajasthan,India. It is a livelihood cum environment project of End Poverty and is the  best solution towards sustainable farming as it consumes less water, give more returns, improve the local environment and family nutrition.

Planting more trees including the major category of lemon , guava , amla , ber and other citrus fruits as they are best suited for the particular area and hence recommended  by the Government of Rajasthan .Cost per plant is Rs100 which includes cost of sapling, basal treatment, supervision etc.

We are planning to achieve a target of 1 lacs sapling in next 2 years .We have already planted around 35350 fruit tress covering 650 farmers from 60 villages.
